Power systems

SHOP is focused on the modelling of hydropower systems, but has gradually evolved to include components to model the power system as a whole. Batteries, wind power, solar power, and thermal power generators are all possible to include in a standard SHOP model. In addition, several busbar objects can be connected with ac_lines and dc_lines to model optimal power flow and transmission constraints.
