# start shopsim
Start the SHOP simulator. Each option will specify which results should be used to determine the unit production/discharge, gen_mw_schedule is default and uses production_schedule for each unit. The optional integer input value decides the output time resolution of the simulator results in a whole number of seconds (default is 3600).

## Start a simulation
Before starting a simulation, the optimization results that have been saved to file with the save optres_for_shopsim command must be loaded into SHOP with the add model command. A simulation can then be started with the command:
